The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system has proven to be a vital tool in enhancing oil management in Tanzania by increasing transparency, data accuracy, and efficiency in the unloading of oil at ports to storage facilities. According to the Petroleum Importation Coordination Agency (PBPA), this system has successfully improved the control of oil loss and enhanced the reliability of data used for decision-making.

Dkt. Toba Nguvila, the Regional Administrative Secretary of Arusha, praised the use of the modern Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system by the Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA) for enhancing transparency and efficiency in oil management in Tanzania. His remarks were made during a visit to the PBPA booth at the Public Service Week exhibition in Dodoma on June 23, 2026, where he learned about the system's operations.
