These arrests were part of the police's ongoing crime-fighting initiatives, conducted through separate operations in the local government areas of Bursari, Damaturu, and Nguru.

Police in Yobe State have arrested two individuals in connection with the death of a newborn baby girl, whose body was reportedly concealed in a box and discarded behind a mosque in Damaturu. The arrests were made following an investigation initiated after officers received a distress call on June 23, according to the Yobe State Police Command.
