A Federal High Court has approved substituted service on Ahmad Lawan in relation to a lawsuit contesting his selection as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Yobe North senatorial seat.

The Yobe State Police Command has apprehended eight individuals linked to alleged theft, violent attacks, and drug-related offenses across various locations in the state. These arrests were part of the police's ongoing crime-fighting initiatives, conducted through separate operations in the local government areas of Bursari, Damaturu, and Nguru.

Police in Yobe State have arrested two individuals in connection with the death of a newborn baby girl, whose body was reportedly concealed in a box and discarded behind a mosque in Damaturu. The arrests were made following an investigation initiated after officers received a distress call on June 23, according to the Yobe State Police Command.
