The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has stated that accountants will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their practices while maintaining essential ethical standards. ICAN's 62nd president, Hajia Queensley Sofuratu Segoshime, emphasized that while AI can improve efficiency, it cannot substitute for integrity, transparency, and accountability in the profession.

Officials from the Ministry of Local Government in Uganda have urged accountants to maintain high standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability as local governments play a vital role in community service delivery. This appeal was made during a bookkeeping skills training session held in Hoima City, attended by accountants from various districts in central and western Uganda.
