The Ondo State High Court in Akure has sentenced three men, Uche Onu, Ekene Okorie, and Celestine Eze, to death by hanging for armed robbery. This ruling is based on violations of Section 6 (b) of the Armed Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Cap R11, Vol 14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

Police patrol officers in Nakawa Division, Kampala District, thwarted an armed robbery attempt, resulting in the death of one suspect during a pursuit operation. The incident occurred around 00:50 hours when a businessman and his wife were ambushed by three armed men while walking along Mukasa Road, according to preliminary reports.
