During the Fourth of July weekend, 'Minions & Monsters' topped the box office with earnings of $36.4 million, narrowly surpassing 'Toy Story 5', which earned an estimated $31 million, according to studio estimates for North America. This marks the seventh film in the 'Despicable Me' franchise, while 'Toy Story 5' continues to perform strongly after recently outperforming 'Supergirl'.

According to PM News, the films ‘Call of My Life’ and ‘Iwe Àlà’ have continued to lead the box office, with ‘Call of My Life’ maintaining the number one position for six consecutive weekends. It has also become the first Nollywood film released outside the December festive window to exceed N600 million in ticket sales.
