
A man testified in court about how his daughter converted from Islam to Christianity and entered a relationship with a tuk-tuk driver, Julius Thuva Luwali, before disappearing in the Shakahola forest. Hamisi Abdalla Mohamed explained that he had employed Thuva for two years to transport vegetables from his home in Sabaki to Malindi market, before Thuva married his daughter, Nuru Hamisi, and introduced her to the church of preacher Paul Mackenzie, where she has since been missing.
