Two suspects, Nkalubo Mulodokayi Ssekakoni and Hassan, have been remanded by the Wobulenzi Grade One Magistrate's Court on charges of forgery and uttering false documents. This action was taken by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Uganda Police in collaboration with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and the State House Anti Corruption Unit, according to Uganda Standard.

Phelisile Oubrey Melane, a 55-year-old government official from the Eastern Cape, was arrested and appeared in the Qonce magistrate’s court on charges of fraud, forgery, and uttering. The allegations involve the use of fake qualifications.
