Residents of Shauri Yako in Homa Bay have expressed concerns about the Rock Boys gang, which reportedly disrupts the area at night. During the day, the neighborhood appears busy with vendors selling snacks and boda boda riders transporting students and workers. However, as night falls, the situation changes dramatically, with the gang allegedly emerging to rob, attack, and intimidate people returning home.

Joint security operatives in Anambra State have killed three members of a gang responsible for a night attack on the convoy of Governor Charles Soludo's Chief of Staff last month. The incident occurred along the Amansea-Ndiukwuenu-Awa-Ufuma road.
