About 22 individuals were rescued from armed bandits in the Kwara South Senatorial District following a coordinated operation by Kogi State Joint Security Forces, which included the Military, Police, Hunters, and Vigilante groups. The operation took place in forests along the Kwara-Kogi border, according to a statement from the Kwara South authorities.

The government has extended a security operation in Marsabit for an additional 30 days, declaring multiple areas as dangerous. The affected locations include Hillo Gorgora, Hillo Orofa, Hillo Walkite, Hillo Tanzania, and several others, as part of ongoing efforts to address security concerns in the region.
