The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has warned state and public officers against naming publicly funded projects after themselves. In a notice released on June 23, the EACC highlighted the problematic trend of politicians using their identities for personal promotion on public initiatives, stating that this practice constitutes an abuse of office and misuse of taxpayers' resources.
