The Anambra State Government has sealed several student hostels, churches, and a market in Awka South Local Government Area due to violations of sanitation regulations, as part of its enforcement of environmental laws.

Sanitation workers in Jalingo, Taraba State, are reportedly facing a salary cut of N10,000, raising concerns about their financial stability as they continue to perform essential duties in maintaining the city's cleanliness. Despite their critical role in the state's environmental sanitation efforts, these workers are experiencing hardship and sacrifice, highlighting the challenges they face behind the scenes, according to Leadership (NG).

A Lagos Magistrate Court in Oshodi has sentenced 14 individuals to three months in prison each for assaulting environmental sanitation officers during an enforcement operation at the Oshodi Resettlement Market.

The Lagos State Government has closed the Oshodi Resettlement Market following an incident where officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) were attacked during an enforcement operation. The closure was announced by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
