North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw tests of a nuclear-capable cruise missile and other weaponry aboard the newly repaired destroyer, Kang Kon. This event, reported by state media, included test-firings of a strategic cruise missile and the destroyer's main gun, as well as trials of its electronic warfare systems. This military display is part of Kim's initiative to enhance North Korea's nuclear-armed naval capabilities.
