Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club has successfully signed forward Charles Lwanga, who was previously a free agent from Sports Club Villa. Lwanga was initially set to join Kitara but KCCA intensified their efforts to secure his signature before the agreement was finalized with Kitara.

According to Swift Sports Uganda, Kitara FC is nearing a deal to sign SC Villa forward Charles Lwanga, who is currently a free agent after his contract with the Uganda Premier League champions expired. The move is reported to be close to completion.

KCCA FC has announced the signing of experienced defender Maxwell Owachgiu, marking him as the club's third signing. He has joined the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions on a two-year contract. Owachgiu expressed that joining KCCA FC is a significant step in his career and feels honored to represent the club, having previously played against them.

Free agent Bright Vuni has agreed to terms with newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Ntugasaze, according to Swift Sports Uganda. Vuni, who was previously with URA FC, is set to sign a two-year deal with the club following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

Kitara has reached an agreement to sign midfielder Misi 'Diego' Ssemugera from SC Villa, according to Kawowo Sports. Ssemugera, who is a free agent after his contract with SC Villa expired, is expected to be one of the new additions to Kitara as they prepare for an upcoming busy season, including participation in the Caf competitions.

Lugazi FC is reportedly in advanced discussions to hire Bastu Ssemuyaba, a former assistant coach at URA FC, to enhance their coaching staff. Ssemuyaba is expected to serve as an assistant to Abbey Kikomeko for the upcoming 2026/27 season, following Kikomeko's appointment after Simon Peter's departure.
