Uganda has officially flagged off its national team for the 3rd FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities, with the squad set to represent the country at the event in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from September 10 to 17, 2026. The send-off ceremony was held at the National Council of Sports headquarters, according to UG Standard. The team will compete against participants from other nations at the global chess event dedicated to players with disabilities.
