The Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) has announced its commitment to enhancing economic empowerment for women through legal and financial education. This initiative aims to ensure that women can access their rights and utilize them for their benefit and that of the community. The announcement was made during the opening of TAWLA's 36th Annual General Meeting in Dar es Salaam, according to the association's board chairperson.

Yas Tanzania, through its Kampeni ya Tumaini initiative, donated medical equipment and delivery supplies to Mbarali District Hospital to support expectant mothers. According to Yas southern highlands head Frank Protas Antony, the donation aims to improve access to essential equipment and help the hospital provide safer, better maternal and child health services as part of the company's community support efforts.

Tanzania's Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) has seized two large consignments of unregistered medicines and medical devices at Julius Nyerere International Airport Terminal 3, with a combined estimated value exceeding 360 million shillings. According to TMDA Director General Dr. Adam Fimbo, the first shipment was intercepted on 7 September 2026 during a routine inspection, and inspectors confiscated 20 bags containing numerous medicines that had arrived from India.

The Mombasa governor has been issued a seven-day ultimatum to resolve a nurses' strike that has continued for 40 days, according to the Eastleigh Voice. The prolonged industrial action has disrupted health services in the coastal county. Salma Hemed, Executive Director of the She Rises Foundation, said the disruption had affected women seeking maternity services as well as patients requiring emergency treatment. The ultimatum adds pressure on county authorities to reach an agreement with striking health workers.
