The pledge was emphasized by Dr. Theresia Charles Numbi, Commissioner of the Mining Commission and chair of the local content committee, during a visit to Max Steel Limited, a Tanzanian engineering and manufacturing company producing mining equipment.

Rashid Chuachua, the District Commissioner of Kigoma, emphasized the importance of maritime safety for sailors and transport vessels on Lake Tanganyika, stating it is crucial for the lake to remain a key driver of economic production and development for the Kigoma region and the nation. His remarks were made during a rescue operation exercise involving security forces and the Tanzania Maritime Agency's search and rescue boat.

Tanzania and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, aiming to strengthen relations and increase opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment.
