The Government of Uganda has evacuated 424 Ugandan nationals from South Africa due to recent anti-migrant protests and xenophobic violence, which resulted in the deaths of at least three Ugandans and the displacement of hundreds. The first group of 273 returnees, including 255 adults and 18 children, arrived at Entebbe International Airport on an Ethiopian Airlines flight.

The Ugandan government has reported that three Ugandans died during recent anti-immigrant unrest in South Africa.
