In Kayunga District, primary school pupils face severe learning conditions, often cramming four or five students onto desks meant for two, while others sit on bare mats. Rain disrupts lessons, forcing children into overcrowded rooms. At Nongo Church of Uganda Primary School, headteacher Juliet Nantume highlights the ongoing struggle, noting that the school has not received any support from the district education office despite requests made last year. The desks in use were purchased between 2004 and 2009.

The government has confirmed that the Kenya School of Agriculture being built at Kamutune in Meru County will be completed by December 2026. During an inspection of development projects in the Tigania West Constituency, Agriculture PS Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh stated that efforts to expedite the construction are being intensified.

Kabete MP Wamacukuru has inspected ongoing road upgrades along the Kwa Henry–Kamoriani–Githunguri Gia Gichamu stretch in Kabete Constituency. The Tharaka Nithi County Security Committee has instructed schools to rectify safety and infrastructural deficiencies identified in a recent assessment of boarding facilities. County Commissioner David Gitonga announced this directive following a security meeting at Kathituni Primary School in Chuka, which was convened in response to recent incidents affecting school safety.

The government has praised NMB Bank Plc for constructing a secondary boarding school for students with special needs in Bahi district, a project worth Sh5 billion that is fully completed. Deputy Secretary General for Education, Atupele Mwambene, stated that the school meets high standards and is equipped with dormitories, beds, and desks, with a capacity to serve 160 students. It is expected to start enrolling students in January 2027 after registration.
