The United Nations has begun consultations with key partners to evaluate the potential impacts of the United States' decision to end support for the AUSSOM logistics program, according to UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. This assessment is being conducted prior to the conclusion of the current funding arrangement.

Brigadier General Jackson Kayanja, the Sector One Commander, has urged officers and troops of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) serving in Somalia under the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission (AUSSOM) to maintain conscious discipline. He emphasized that this discipline is essential for professionalism, mission success, and career development during his address to the personnel.
