Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been ranked as the highest-performing Member of Parliament in the latest CountyTrak Performance Index 2026 by Infotrak Research and Consulting, achieving an approval rating of 80 percent. He is followed by Kabuchai MP Joseph Kalasinga with 78 percent, while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has slipped to third with a rating of 76 percent, tied with Taveta MP John Bwire, according to the survey.

Babu Owino has accused Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo of employing thugs to interfere with Gen Z protests occurring in Nairobi and Kisumu. This allegation comes amid escalating tensions and security concerns surrounding the protests.
