The Cross River State command of the Nigeria Police has urged the Egbor and Orugbam communities in Biase LGA to stop hostilities following the shooting death of Mr. Nkereuwem Okoh on his farm, which also left several others injured. This appeal comes in response to escalating violence in the area, as stated by the police command.

The Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted smuggled goods valued at N274 million in Cross River, which included vegetable oil and used tyres. This action aims to protect local industries from the impact of smuggling.
