Dkt. Emmanuel Nchimbi, a member of the Central Committee of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and the regional patron for Dodoma, participated in a meeting of the CCM Central Committee for the Dodoma region held at the CCM regional offices on July 4, 2026.

A1 Iron & Steel Tanzania Ltd is set to invest TZS 600 billion in a new steel manufacturing plant in Nala, Dodoma, which will utilize local iron ore as its primary raw material. This initiative aims to enhance mineral value addition in Tanzania and decrease reliance on imported steel products. Construction is slated to commence in July 2026 and is projected to be completed within 15 months.

Msalato International Airport in Dodoma is set to commence operations in September 2026 as construction nears completion. The airport is designed to accommodate 1.5 million passengers each year and aims to enhance both domestic and international air connectivity, thereby bolstering investment and economic activity in Tanzania's capital.
