The Kenyan government is advancing a significant initiative to offer modern, high-quality housing for thousands of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) personnel and their families, with the goal of enhancing welfare, morale, and living standards within the armed forces. Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariru recently inspected construction sites at Lang’ata and Kahawa garrisons as part of this effort.

A court has issued protection orders against KDF captain Kaunga, who is accused of murdering his wife, Ann Mugweru. The orders were requested by Serah Nyokabi Mugweru, a relative of the victim, who reported that Kaunga continued to threaten and intimidate her family members while in custody.
