Kebbi Governor has inaugurated a new governing council for the state university following a significant leadership shake-up that included the removal of the vice chancellor, two deputy vice chancellors, and other management team members, as well as the dissolution of the previous governing council. This restructuring aims to enhance the institution's governance and operations.

The Kebbi Hisbah has arrested 25 individuals in a recent operation aimed at combating social vices and promoting moral values in the region. This initiative is part of the board's ongoing efforts to maintain peace and decency across Kebbi, according to PM News.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its Kebbi State chairman, while Governor Idris has sanctioned a commissioner in relation to the Zuru by-election. The party did not specify the duration of the suspensions.

Garba Maidoki, the lawmaker for Kebbi South Senatorial District, stated that he entered politics due to the ongoing insecurity in his region. He expressed this sentiment during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, noting that his initial interest in politics was minimal until the persistent security issues prompted his involvement.
