The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) has rejected a request to dismiss a petition against Ikechukwu Ezechukwu, SAN, and two other lawyers, Barrister Smart Ukpanah and Barrister Hope Onyekwere. The decision was made during a panel sitting chaired by Mr. Kalu Umeh, SAN, where counsel for Ezechukwu, Barrister D. O. Okolo, presented the case.

The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) has scheduled a date to hear a misconduct petition against a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and two others. The chairman of the committee rejected an application for withdrawal, citing that the committee's rules do not allow for the withdrawal of petitions once issues have been joined.
