MultiChoice has introduced a new 24-hour sports channel called SportyTV, available on selected DStv and GOtv packages. This channel will provide subscribers with access to a variety of live sports, including football, basketball, and combat sports, as well as news and analysis.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja has ordered MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, the operator of DStv, to pay N3 million in damages and costs for breaching its contractual obligations by disrupting live services. The court found the company liable for shortchanging a consumer, leading to the financial penalty.

Canal+ has announced that MultiChoice's DStv streaming app will be pre-installed on the home screen of new Samsung TVs sold across Africa. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to DStv's streaming services for users in the region.
