Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has launched the Affordable Boda Boda Programme, which allows riders to acquire motorbikes with initial deposits starting at KSh 10,000. The program is set to begin in September, aiming to support boda boda riders in accessing affordable transportation options.

The Senate Committee for County Public Investments and Special Funds has recommended that the County Government of Nakuru increase its budget for preventive healthcare. Committee chairperson Godfrey Osotsi emphasized that investing in preventive health strategies can improve overall population health, decrease morbidity and mortality rates, and help manage chronic illnesses more effectively.
