Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i has clarified his sudden meeting with ODM Deputy Leader Simba Arati and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, following the circulation of their photos online which sparked intense political debate. The images showed the leaders conversing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), leading some to speculate about political discussions between Matiang'i and leaders supporting a coalition government.

George Aladwa, the ODM Nairobi County Chair and Makadara MP, announced that ODM supporters will not participate in the upcoming Gen Z protests scheduled for Thursday.
