Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has opposed the Orange Democratic Movement's (ODM) second attempt to remove him as secretary general, claiming the process is unconstitutional and unfair. Sifuna's team stated that this decision mirrors a previous attempt he legally challenged in February. They argue that the latest move has procedural flaws and plan to take legal action against it.

The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) ruled that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna did not receive a fair hearing before the ODM removed him as secretary general. Tribunal Chair Gad Gathu noted serious procedural flaws in the handling of the case by the ODM National Executive Committee (NEC), including lack of proper notice and failure to allow Sifuna to respond to allegations.
