Nigerian students Chimdiebube Onwubiko, Don Anele Munachimso, and Egejurum Onyedikachi are representing Nigeria at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy. They are competing against students from 154 countries in mathematics and science.

Team Nigeria achieved notable success at the 2026 Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad held in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, winning three silver medals and one bronze. This included a historic double-silver podium finish by two female students from Nigeria, marking a significant milestone for the country's representation in the competition.
