Victoria Mwanziva, the District Commissioner of Lindi, has urged 60 students benefiting from vocational training under the 'Dumisha Amani' project, funded by international organizations including UNPDF and UNDP-Tanzania, to form skill groups. This initiative aims to facilitate easier access to loans from the government. Mwanziva issued these directives on July 4, 2026.

The Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) has received five vehicles valued at 300,000 US dollars from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to enhance its weather monitoring and early warning services. This support aims to improve data collection from monitoring and observation stations throughout Tanzania, thereby strengthening the agency's capabilities in providing timely weather information.
