The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria, established in 1973 following the civil war, is undergoing evaluations by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and other stakeholders. They are focusing on reforms, the employability of corps members, and other objectives to enhance the program's effectiveness and relevance in contemporary society.

The Federal Government has launched phase two of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme aimed at enhancing skills for young Nigerians. This initiative is designed to boost employability and promote economic empowerment among participants, who will also receive a monthly stipend.
