These operations involved coordinated land, air, and maritime missions targeting various threats including terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and arms traffickers.

A delegation of Israeli and Belgian ex-hostages from the 1976 hijacking incident has returned to Uganda nearly 50 years after their historic rescue operation. The visit included a tour of the old site related to the event.
