The Federal Government of Nigeria, alongside the Niger State Government, has conducted training for 100 youths, women, and agripreneurs in hydroponic farming. This initiative was organized by Amaiza Enterprise Company Limited, Nigeria Polytechnic Foundation (NIPOF), Luqknight Limited, and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), in collaboration with the Niger State Agency.

Eight staff members of the Niger State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) have been detained by the police for allegedly diverting billions of naira from state revenue. The suspects are currently held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where detectives are conducting further interrogations and auditing financial records, according to sources.

Residents of Diko town in Niger State organized a protest, featuring masquerades, against the proposed acquisition of 500 hectares of farmland intended for an industrial solar farming project. The demonstration highlighted cultural elements as the community expressed their opposition to the land acquisition plans.

The Niger State House of Assembly has suspended plenary sessions indefinitely due to ongoing disputes with the executive branch, raising concerns about the legislative process in the state.
