The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) recovered N5.8 billion in proceeds of crime from January to June 2026, which is reported to enhance accountability and national security in Nigeria, according to Punch.

At a press conference in Lagos, a group of lawyers led by Liborous Oshoma urged President Tinubu to ensure justice in the case of former minister Uche Nnaji. They praised the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for initiating an investigation but expressed concerns over delays in the judicial process, calling for prompt action to bring Nnaji to justice.

Former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai appeared in two separate courts in Kaduna on Wednesday to face charges of alleged financial misconduct, abuse of office, and money laundering. These charges were filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The proceedings took place at the Federal High Court II, overseen by Justice Hauwa’u Buhari.

The Federal High Court in the state capital has once again prohibited journalists from entering the courtroom during the trial of former governor Nasir El’Rufai. El’Rufai arrived at the court under security escort as the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) continues its case against him regarding alleged financial misconduct.
