Khalid Hamed Al Barwani, a tourism promoter from Oman, has been officially appointed as the Honorary Tourism Ambassador for Tanzania. This appointment is expected to enhance the country's tourism promotion efforts and increase the number of visitors, following his previous work in promoting the Sao Hill Forest after visiting in 2024. The official handover took place in Dar es Salaam.

The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) has appointed Khalid Hamed Al Barwani, an Omani tourism promoter and travel influencer, as Tanzania’s Honorary Tourism Ambassador. This recognition is for his efforts in promoting Tanzania's tourism attractions internationally. The appointment was made by TTB Director General Ephraim Mafuru.

Oman and Iran have agreed to continue discussions regarding the future management of maritime activities in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global shipping. The talks aim to enhance cooperation and ensure the security of maritime transport in the region, according to Global Publishers.
