A court has decided to expedite the trial of a journalist from Taraba who has been in detention for six months. During the hearing, prosecuting counsel Barr. D.G. Tukura requested that specific bank documents and account statements from three banks be presented to the court along with PIN witnesses.

Paul Ibe, a media aide to Atiku Abubakar, has criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for allegedly harassing former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, who has been in detention for 126 days. Andrew Nabimanya, known as Ninye Tabz and a supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has been released on police bond after spending five days in detention. He was detained by unknown security operatives near the former NUP headquarters in Kampala. His release occurred at the Central Police Station in Kampala.
